Family Sessions

Your people. Your home. Your life.

Trust me, you’ll want to remember…

The weight of their little bodies pressed against your own.

Their current obsessions — cars, princesses, dinosaurs, Taylor Swift — the details that belong only to this chapter.

The gap-toothed smiles, wiggly energy, and pure bliss of being young.

What it felt like to love and be loved by your people in the home you’ve created.

The messy, loud, joy-filled ordinary of this current season.

My favorite place to photograph families is at home — because this is where your real, messy, beautiful life is happening.

Family sessions are relaxed, playful, and gently directed without feeling forced.

We’ll start with a loose plan and choose simple activities that feel like your family — baking together, reading books on the couch, playing a game, or running around the backyard. But the activities are really just a starting point. We’ll also make space for the in-between moments: your kids piling into your lap, blowing raspberries on the baby’s tummy, the snuggles in the good light, and the laughter that happens when everyone forgets they’re being photographed.

I’ll give gentle direction so you don’t feel awkward or wonder what to do with your hands, but I’m not here to make your family look like anyone else’s. This is not the stiff, posed session where everyone is wearing clothes they hate and sweating in the Texas sun.

My hope is that it feels easier than you expected — like one less thing you have to do, and instead something you get to do together.

What’s Included

Family sessions take place in your home, usually in the rooms with the best light. We can also move outside if your yard, porch, or neighborhood is part of your family’s story.

Sessions are approximately 90 minutes and are best scheduled in the morning or late afternoon, depending on when the light pours into your home.

Family sessions include your immediate family and pets.

You’ll receive all final edited images, usually 60 or more, delivered in an online gallery, plus a $100 print credit to help you get your favorite images off your screen and into your home.

Investment: $895 plus tax

Before you start overthinking it…
let me answer some of your questions

What if my house doesn’t look like the homes I see on ONLINE?

It doesn’t need to. Your home is special because it’s yours. It’s where your routines happen, where your kids feel most like themselves, and where so many of your everyday memories are being made.

I’m not looking for perfect. I’m looking for light, connection, and the spaces that feel like your family. Sometimes all we need is one or two little pockets of your home to tell the story beautifully.

What if my kids are pure chaos?

Um, they’re kids! I expect it!

As a mom of two and a former ER nurse, please believe me when I say I am unfazed by crazy. We’ll make space for snacks, breaks, movement, silliness, snuggles, and all the real-life things that happen with kids. They do not need to perform perfectly for this to be meaningful, in fact, I’ll bet some of your favorite images will be the ones that show their true personality, wildness and all.

What should we wear?

Once you’re booked, I’ll help you think through wardrobe in a way that feels comfortable, natural, and true to your family. You do not need to dress like anyone else—the goal is for everyone to feel like themselves!

Do you offer mini sessions?

I typically only offer a limited number of mini sessions in the fall, and my email list always gets first access!

What if my husband hates family photos?

This is one of the reasons I love in-home sessions so much. There is no dragging everyone into a field in the heat, no forcing everyone into uncomfortable clothes, and no pressure to stand still and smile for an hour. At home, he gets to show up in clothes he actually likes, barefoot if he wants, loving on his people in the place where he already feels comfortable. Dads have such a special place in the story of a family and I want those pieces documented too.

What if we don’t know what to DO?

That’s my job! As a part of our pre-session prep, we’ll hop on a call so I can get to know your family and assist with planning activities that speak to who you are and what you love to do together. And on session day, I’ll guide you enough so you don’t feel awkward or wonder what to do with your hands, but I’m not going to make your family look stiff or overly posed. We’ll use simple activities, movement, snuggles, and connection so the photos feel natural and true to your family.

Can our pets be part of the session?

Yes, please! Pets are part of the family, and in-home sessions make it easy to include them naturally — whether they’re snuggled on the couch, running through the frame, or adding their own little flavor of chaos to the day!

Do you offer outdoor sessions?

Most of my family sessions take place at home, because that’s where I’m able to tell the truest story of your family’s current season. That said, I do take on a limited number of outdoor family sessions when the location feels meaningful or like the right fit for your family.
