Naptime Jewelry Co. started exactly how it sounds: I began making necklaces as a way to stay off of my phone during my youngest daughter’s naps.

I’m a girl mom, photographer, former ER nurse, lover of 90’s nostalgia, Diet Coke drinker, and apparently now a jewelry maker too. I’ve always loved making things with my hands, and somewhere in the middle of motherhood, work, and all the moving pieces of everyday life, sitting down with a pile of beads became one of the few things I could start and actually finish in one sitting.

So I kept making them.

What started as a little creative outlet quickly turned into something I wanted to share. I love color, unexpected combinations, pieces that don’t take themselves too seriously, and jewelry that can make jeans and a T-shirt feel a little more fun.

Every Naptime necklace is designed, made, finished, and packaged by me here in Austin, Texas. I choose the beads, make the combinations, create each piece, photograph it, market everything, pack the orders, and answer the emails.
